Limpopo premier Stanley Mathabatha has reshuffled his executive council.
Nandi Ndalane is the new MEC for Public works, while Jerry Ndou has been moved from Public works and is now the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human settlements and Traditional Affairs.
Makoma Makhurupetje is the Transport and Community Safety MEC.
Mapula Mokaba Phukwane is the new Social Development MEC, and Joyce Mashamba is the MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development.
The official opposition in the province, the EFF has rejected the cabinet reshuffle.
EFF Provincial Secretary, Joseph Buthane says Mathabatha has moved Makhurupetje following the irregular purchase of land at Tubatse.
He says: “The Premier wants to be seen as a person who acted against Makoma Makurupetje who illegally bought land in Tubatse. He wants to say to us that I have acted on the irregularity committed by the MEC.”
“That is not acting, he wants to deceive people of Limpopo and we are aware of those shenanigans. The EFF does not accept this reshuffle and we are not happy about it,” says Buthane.
