Position title:                       Handyman
Position reports to:            Building Manager
Business Unit:                      Property Management
Job Grade:                            B5 – C1

Main purpose / objective of the position:
Maintenance and Upkeep of the Interior and Exterior of Buildings

Decision making authority:
Decision making is limited and specific. None additional to those taught to the incumbent are required to perform the job.

Experience / Education:
Grade 10 or equivalent or approximately 5 years relevant experience

Skills required:
Technical and Mechanical. Basic building maintenance skills

Knowledge required:
Basic Electrical and Air-conditioning for identifying purposes only

Competencies required:
Initiative. Career and Self Development. Customer and Quality Focus. Teamwork. Problem Solving and Decision Making

Major drivers of work volume:
Works Orders and Schedules. (has no authority to write orders)

Interface / relationships with:
Internal: Operations Manager, Portfolio Manager,
External: Tenants, Contractor
