Despatch Clerk

Job Title Despatch Clerk – Isando

Key Purpose To create a despatch plan, administer and control the despatch of packaged products from the Isando DC in order to meet agreed levels of customer service that will contribute to the optimisation of the non-fuels supply chain.
Key Generic Accountabilities – Create despatch plan
– Execute customer orders
– Delivery Fleet scheduled and optimised
– Interface Management
– Stock counts
Specific Outcomes – Isa store picking plan
– Product loads Scheduled
– Product despatched
– Fleet utilisation/optimization
– Co-ordinated transport requirements between on site transport representatives
– Equitable split in terms of transporters fleet size
– Customer routes and rates monitored
– Develop and maintained sound relationships with CSC/Transporters and customers (internal and external)
– No variances between SAP and ISA Store
– Stock counts completed monthly
Education & Experience – Matric or Certificate in Logistics
– 2 – 4 years SAP experience
– 2 years dispatch and admin experience
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes • In depth knowledge of despatch function
• In depth knowledge of Isastore Warehouse Management system
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation
• Working knowledge of transport operations and economics
• Working knowledge of applicable handling methods of products
• Working business knowledge
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Good knowledge of warehousing principles
• Working knowledge of quality control
• Good knowledge of inventory control
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain
